My early career aspirations were heavily influenced by my passion for audio recording. During my later college years, I was so eager to enter the industry, I officially opened my recording studio “Pechette Studios” in 1999 while simultaneously working on my recording degree. Prior to officially opening the studio, I had honed my skills by recording in the capital region since 1996 while working on my music performance certificate at a local community college. Over the years of operating the studio, I have recorded albums, demos, voiceovers, audio books, commercials, and EPs of many different genres. After forming my LLC and rebranding the business as “Pechette Studios Productions LLC,” I shifted my focus to live event production. The demand for services in the live event space has since exploded into something I never expected. The direction of the business has given me opportunities to grow at a pace I never dreamed of, and I find it exciting. It is for this reason that I have closed the recording division of Pechette Studios Productions. The projects that have come through the studio since opening in 1999 have been truly remarkable experiences, and I am immensely proud of the products we have produced.
What People Are Saying
Don't just take it from me, let my clients do the talking!
"I recently had the opportunity to record a double cd project at Pechette Studios in Albany. Josh knows how to get great sounds, is a master at the controls and knows how to make efficient use of his time during the editing process. I've recorded in great studios in New York City, the Hudson Valley and Vermont, and I would compare Josh's result favorably with the best of them.
I plan to return there again soon for other projects."
"Our latest project, "Dance the World Around", was recorded at Pechette Studios.
We had a great experience working with Josh Pechette. It was a pleasure working with him. We liked his easy-going laid-back style. While he was quietly engineering our CD, he was very efficiently and quickly doing very high quality mixing. His years of working with all sorts of acoustic bands as head audio engineer at the Egg really has paid off. He really knows his stuff. We brought in many guest artists, with a variety of instruments, and he knew exactly how to get a great sound out of each instrument and voice. We also liked his enthusiasm for our CD. We felt more confident during the recording and mixing process because of all the nice feedback he was giving us. That's the type of feedback musicians like from a sound engineer!"
Had a great experience recording an EP with Josh at his studio! Very easy going and easy to work with. Friendly and makes sure the situation is nice and comfortable for everybody. Couldn't have asked for a better recording experience and the product sounds amazing. Very happy with the experience. Definitely talk to Josh if you are interested in recording in a relaxed, comfortable situation with someone who can deliver a product you will be happy with!
